Heaven Revisited

Friday, July 30th, 2010

While updating my portfolio today, I came across this work I did for Blind Janitor magazine.

It’s so old, I feel like it was done in another lifetime. I still like it though.

Anyway, I think this post is just an excuse to play the song this work is about – Heaven by The Talking Heads – over and over again.

(By the way, these are just two frames from the project, you can view all of it here).

Houses on the Bank of Lake Lucerne

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

This is loosely based on a picture I took on a trip to Lucerne a few years ago.

I don’t know what made me remember it today of all days, and why I drew it like this.

Horray! 150 Posts!

Friday, July 23rd, 2010

Well, last time I wrote that on the 150th post I’ll show you the new giveaway , but I got lost on the way and it will take me a little bit longer.

Still, you’re welcome to leave a comment or send me an email, and I will add you to the mailing list. Feel free to write even if I already sent you an envelope before.

Maybe I should write why am I doing this? I just want to say thank you for taking an interest in my work, I really don’t take it for granted. So this present is a little token of appreciation.

I’ve Got Nothing to Say

Tuesday, July 20th, 2010

This will probably be a part of the next giveaway I’m planning in celebration of this blog’s 150th post, which is actually the next post.

Then I will show you what I prepared, and if you’ll like it – it’s yours (if you’re fast enough that is, because I’m making only 20 copies or so).

You Twisted Little Girl

Sunday, July 18th, 2010

This drawing made me think of this song, Little Girl, from the Danger Mouse+Sparklehorse album ‘Dark Night of the Soul’, sung by Julian Casablancas – soooo good!
