Monday, November 29th, 20101. Find a new apartment, cheaper, but MUST BE in Tel-Aviv.
2. Continue work on children’s book even though I think what I’m doing isn’t that good.
3. Finish book cover – finally!
4. Don’t think about the meeting tomorrow morning!
5. Finish the new round doll.
(I always think that if I write my worries down they will weigh less on my mind).

Saturday, November 27th, 2010Just got back from the Mercury Rev concert. It was so great…
On the first half of the show the band played songs from their old albums, and on the second half they played a soundtrack they improvised over three Flexus films that were playing on the screen behind them. I really loved it, but Oleg was a bit lost in the abstraction.
I did a quick cartoon on the spot :)

Not sure everyone felt this way, but I thought it was an intimate and special show.
I adore Jonathan Donahue’s voice.
One last song before going to sleep, Tides of the Moon (which reminds me: there was an amazing huge yellow moon over Tel-Aviv tonight).
Good night everyone…
Cat Ladies Rejoice!

I love my new cat patterned shirt from Zara, despite it being a little too inspired by these Miu-Miu prints. But who am I kidding, that’s what Zara’s for, no?
Anyway… It’s elegant and whimsical and quite perfect (or shall I write: PURRRfect).

Monday, November 22nd, 2010
I first heard a Joy Division song on mix tape given to me when I was 17 or so (thank god for big sisters and their boyfriends). It was exactly what I needed at that time.
I bought Unknown Pleasures, their first album, and was blown away. Still am – it’s brilliant.
Of course the genius cover design by Peter Saville didn’t hurt either.
Ian Curtis is one of those musicians that really touch me deeply with his lyrics and voice.
Do you, dear reader, happen to have a memory or a story related to Unknown Pleasures or Joy Division in general? I would love to read about it if you feel like sharing.
