When I started working on this drawing I was a little under the influence of French designer / illustrator Antoine cake, but the need to avoid the risk of being too influenced, led me in a weird direction. Anyway, Antoine is quite wonderful, check out his drawings here.

I’ve been actually waiting for the right date to post this video, i.e December 31st, but I can no longer wait! And this song has this Christmas-y vibe going on, so I guess it’s OK.
And since we’ve already established I have no impulse control whatsoever, it’s fine to play another The Walkmen song – The Rat – which is, like one of the commenters on YouTube wrote, “quite possibly one of the best songs of all time”. CHEERS!

Our landlord nonchalantly announced the rent will be raised come February 2011.
So we’re gonna have to pack, move, meet the new people who work at the grocery store…
But to look on the bright side: that’s a good opportunity to play Radiohead’s House of Cards (or any other song with the word House in it, for that matter – there are quite a few!).

Another version for this drawing, this time based on figures from an ancient Greek vase.
I’ve been meaning to draw this for a while now, but even after completion, I still feel it’s not quite there. It’s very frustrating knowing you’re not giving your work all the time it needs. Sometimes I think it’s OK and all part of the process, but sometimes it’s just discouraging.
So you can maybe read this drawing also as Man vs. Time (and I think Man is losing :)

My father’s birthday is only tomorrow, but I couldn’t wait to show you this picture of him from the 60′s. Looks like he just got out of the most hipster-y cafe in Tel-Aviv today.
