Closing Time (the Last Post)

KerenTaggar-8

So the time has come to officially close this drawing blog project.

It went on for 3 years, capturing a spectrum of emotions and unbelievable things.

I want to thank you so much for being interested and making me get up every day and draw. It’s been the backbone of my life for so long, longer than I ever thought possible.

To celebrate this project’s end (and the beginning of new ones), I exhibited 100 drawings on the walls of the Alfred Gallery in Tel-Aviv. My first, and hopefully not last ,gallery show.

Here are some images from the space, photographed by Ariel Caine.

The good news are, I already have a new blog (yes, it’s addictive).

It’s different than this one, free-er, I think. Please please please check it out. It’s in Hebrew, but I’m sure Google Translate can do a good job at translating my simple words.

So thank you again. It’s been a pleasure, really.

A Chance to Relax

Friday, November 30th, 2012

(An old drawing of Lucy)

Sorry for not updating as much, I’ve been so busy lately. Actually working on a blog-related thing I will let you know about soon. Have a great weekend, try to rest…

Back to Normal (not really)

Monday, November 26th, 2012

Since we last met another war has ended.

I’m so sick of it already, especially with the way we all so easily pick up our lives and continue on like nothing has happened. We’re such good obedient soldiers, eh, citizens.

This building is on Ben-Gurion boulevard, where I practice yoga. This is a safe haven.

Safe Inside

Wednesday, November 14th, 2012

Safe inside the house, infront of the TV set, not looking, just listening, drawing pillows.

Unfinished

Tuesday, November 6th, 2012

These days I start a lot, but finish nothing.

An old drawing of our striped bathrobe.

Have a beautiful weekend everyone.

Waves of Fear

Sunday, October 28th, 2012

Yesterday evening was the launching event of the first Untitled Object issue. I wasn’t there but  my sources tell me it was really great. Were you there?

Anyway, now I can finally share with you the drawing I did for that issue. We all had to create work that had some relation to the concept of “The First Day”.

I wanted to talk about my new found (and often lost) braveness, and also work with Hebrew typography for a change*. Lou Reed knows what I’m talking about:

I have a few issues of the Untitled Object to give away, so if you want one, write me a message and I’ll send you a copy in an envelope and everything :).
*Translation: At the age of three and thirty I stopped being afraid.
