Friday, September 23rd, 2011

The smell of guavas is the essence of fall in my head. I don’t eat ‘em, just sniff ‘em.

Lovely Day

Sunday, April 3rd, 2011

Listened repeatedly to Stevie Wonder today. Here’s You Are the Sunshine of My Life, the opening track from his 1972 album Talking Book. Stevie’s music always make me so happy and content, and it has to be saved for especially good days, when the air smells like flowers.

Sick in Bed Post pt.2

Wednesday, January 12th, 2011

After seating with a friend at night, drinking ice-cold beer for a few hours – we both got sick.

Looking back on that evening, and listening to the news on the radio, made me think there is something so hopeless and desperate about these nights.

We try to feel happy and normal and talk about LIFE, while things around us just seem to get politically and socially crazier and crazier. I’m not saying anything new here, I know…

This thought reminded me of this Sinead O’connor song Drink Before the War, which is also pretty hopeless and desperate (turned out to be a very depressing post, sorry about that).
