J.D Salinger died last week. I first read ‘The Catcher in the Rye’ when I was 15 or so and it was so perfect for that time, although it made me hate everything around. Reading this book was an event, a milestone. I can’t wait for my niece Shira to grow up so I can give it to her. She may hate me for a while, but it’s worth it.
